(CO)
   A colorless, odorless, very toxic gas, formed by burning carbon or organic fuels. A gaseous molecule having the formula CO, which is the product of incomplete combustion of organic materials. Carbon monoxide has an affinity for hemoglobin that is approximately 200 times stronger than that of oxygen. It is highly poisonous.
